The Penguins Troubles and a Pitt Weekend

January 6, 2009 - Print to web Print to Web
The Pens are in need of a win, and they need to do it tonight against the Atlanta Trashers. Not even halfway through the season and it's desperation time to pull off a good 8-2 run in the next 10 games. Crosby needs to step up his game, Fleury needs to sharpen his game - not letting in soft goals, and Therrien should consider finding a way to get around the trap. The 4-0 loss to the Raggers wasn't as much a problem as the loss to Florida, as King Henry was impressive in the Rangers net as he always is. The Pens need to turn this around, and I think a little noise to start the game at home would do some great confidence boosting. Get that first goal and the floodgates should open immediately. Especially against Atlanta, lose tonight and expect some MAJOR changes. Imagine the disappointment, 2 wins from the Cup and in danger of not only missing the playoffs but finishing last.

The only good thing to come from this weekend, was watching Brad Pitt movies. From Mr. & Mrs. Smith to Burn After Reading to Kalifornia. This guy just has so much diversity in his films. From a super secret assassin, to a presumptively gay man in Burn After Reading to a psychotic serial killer in Kalifornia. And don't leave out Twelve Monkeys, Oceans Eleven-Thirteen, SeVen, Fight Club, The Mexican.... Basically any and everything he has done. This dude has got some great ability. Anyway, I would highly recommend just watching these movies on a rainy/snowy day, or any day.
