2009 Entertainment pt. 1 of 2
January 7, 2009 - Print to web Print to Web
2009 might not be as good as '08 in terms of money or quantity of awesomeness (i.e.: The Dark Knight, Hancock, Tropic Thunder, Iron Man in movies, Disturbed and Slipknot in music and the ungodly amount of money made from video games, which release quality titles every 2 months at minimum.) But '09 is shaping itself into another can't wait to see/listen/play kind of year.
On the silverscreen this year we have Watchmen (hopefully); X:Men Origins Wolverine, which will undoubtedly be a 150 Million dollar juggarnaut; Terminator 4 with Christian Bale leading the human race in the beginning/middle of the war; Year One with Jack Black as a caveman in the beginning of time will be a classic; 2012, find the trailer, watch it, this will be better than The Day After Tomorrow, and that was a decent flick; Inglorious Basterds, a Tarentino film starring Brad Pitt and Mike Myers about Jewish Soldiers in WW2 on the hunt for Nazi's, will definitely be very violent. Oh, I almost forgot, TRANSFORMERS 2: Revenge of the Fallen will be an awesome early birthday gift for me. This will hopefully be up there in the ranks of The Dark Knight and Iron Man in terms of pure excitement and money. Who can't get a thrill out of cars turning into giant robots fighting for the fate of the world, over what is now a tiny sliver of an Allspark. Only 1 person I know wont be excited, and he will be harassed everyday until he watches it.
The next blog, I will have done some research on what music and video games come out, as I have taken a ton of time just looking at all of these great movies. You can catch the trailers at www.youtube.com or click the link on my bio and go to yahoo movies.
And let's not forget my Guins may be on the right track to getting into the Final, with a 3-1 win over the Thrashers on Tuesday night. Thursday will be a better test as Nashville isn't as bad as the Thrashers are right now. LET'S GO PENS!
