Switching to Google Chrome

August 3, 2010 - Jeremy Johns

My Blog Title means absolutely nothing a vast amount of people. However, it means a great deal to Internet community. You can continue to read if you fall in the first category.

I have been a religious user of Mozilla Firefox since the beginning days of it's existence in 2004/2005. Firefox offered everything I had been wanting that IE(internet explorer) could not. I am pretty sure I did a dance on my mothers forehead when I became aware of Firefox. She still has the K-Swiss logo imprinted above her left eyebrow. K-Swiss was the shoe to rock at the time. Anyways, I have been loyal and preached Firefox to ever person I found using IE for 5/6 years up until now.

Firefox is no longer the strongest browser out there. I have known this for about a year and spent my time switching on and off between Firefox and Chrome to weigh the pros and cons of each browser. I didn't want to switch. I have to switch. I no longer believe in Firefox. Google's Chrome browser is much more stable, faster and has a brighter future. Firefox needs a clean sweep of the way they handle add-ons and the annoying updates every other day that do not work 60% of the time.
