May 14, 2008

The Steubenville City Schools Orchestra will hold its annual spring concert and silent auction fund-raiser on Friday at Harding Middle School. The auction will begin at 6 p.m., with final bidding to be held at the close of intermission.

The concert will start at 7 p.m. Fourth- through 12th-grade students will perform a variety of music.

Auction items include several restaurant gift cards, gift baskets, sports memorabilia and hotel stays. Only cash and checks will be accepted as payment.

Proceeds will go toward the purchase of music, instruments and accessories.

Last year’s first auction funds were used to purchase more than 20 instruments and accessories.

Tickets to the concert and auction cost $5 for adults, $3 for students and senior citizens and $2 for groups of 10 or more.
