It’s time to take down the signs

May 14, 2008

Now that the candidates have been named and the election is over, it’s time to take down the election signs.

The signs do serve a purpose before the election, but now that the voting is done it’s time to take them away so we can enjoy the natural landscape, grass and pretty flowers that beautify our neighborhoods.

A?lot of effort goes in to an election. The candidates go through a lot of trouble and spend a lot of money while running in an election, and we are thankful for those who care enough to take the time and exert the energy and funds that are required to be considered for positions.

Although we heard stories about people removing signs or damaging them prior to the election — which would be wrong — it is time for these signs to come down officially, and, win or lose, it’s up to each candidate to make sure this happens.
