Woman’s Club hosts display of First Ladies


Carol Village,  chairman of the Woman’s History and Resource Center for the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, is currently displaying West Virginia’s First Ladies at the Mary H. Weir Public Library in Weirton.


The display case is located inside the main doors of the library and this month’s First Lady is Gayle Manchin. Along with a signed photograph of Manchin is a sample of her favorite flower, the gardenia; a copy of her favorite book, “Gone With the Wind” by Margaret Mitchell and a short biography.


Sharon Rockefeller and Shelley Moore will be featured in the coming months.
