You are obviously misinformed because I have never been affiliated with the city of Weirton. I, like others who like to be kept informed, learned the facts and base my opinions on factual information. I guess the firefighters can always sell more t-shirts if they need a new truck--it worked when they wanted new flat screen tvs for their stations.

there's the pot calling the kettle black...when you were chief you could have changed the 48hr pay week but you didn't. now that you are no longer a city employee, one can only imagine why you still have to comment on how things are done. Isn't it time that you just moved on to bigger and better things??

Here's a thought--stop paying overtime to the firefighters for a 48 hour work week and follow the federal wage laws which allows for a longer work week, thus saving taxpayers money and allowing for more personnel per crew. You keep hiring new people which creates higher legacy costs (pension, insurance, etc.) when you don't have to be doing this. You're just wasting taxpayer money.
