It is a dumb way to do business. The organizers of the Marland Heights event are the ones who are dumb for not understanding what the law is and disrespectful to the city's law abiding citizens for ignoring it when they were informed about it. It's also tad hypocritical to sell alcohol to benefit kids. What message does that send? Sit by your phone till 6pm and call it in fool. Hope it makes you feel better about your self righteous self...

Those organizations weren't selling alcohol to children, they were selling alcohol to adults to raise money for children organizations. Just like those trying to save Marland Heights Pool are doing. So they didn't get permission, kind of a dumb way to do business isn't it, not to mention disrespectful to people that follow laws.

Who said they were allowed to have alcohol? They advertised it without making sure they were allowed. They are not. Call the cops on them if your that upset about it. It's not like its a secret about when and where they are doing it. After you do it enjoy the karma that will come back around to bite you when you try to use alcohol to benefit children which makes NO SENSE. Do you want to hand out cigarettes at your function too?? Remember- "it's for the kids"-dolt...

Good luck to your fundraising efforts but its funny how this organization was allowed to have a fundraising event involving alcohol and there is laws against alcohol in city parks in Weirton. Nice to see that some people don't have to worry about following laws if they know the right people in town.
