I believe the article made a slight error.

Although Mark Zatezalo is also running as a Republican, they are not really in competition with each other in the primary as both will move on into the general election.

In the general election they are directly competitive. He gave a dishonest reason for leaving the Senate race. The truth is he had no funding and no support. Apparently he is using his role as Republican Executive Committee Chair to launch his own campaign, which is a conflict of interest. Is he supposed to be supporting the party or his own personal gain in this position? Ethics is lacking across the board with this one!

i know pat personally and i tell you now, he has the most integrity of any person i have seen in politics. his whole goal in the Senate race was to educate people on beliefs of the constitution and wars we should not be in. he never cares about himself. his uncle became very sick and pat has been at the hospital by his side since december. he couldnt travel around the state anymore. pat always is consistant with his beliefs. funny how this man is the only one that stands up to cronies around here and you make statements like that.
