Let's all watch and see if the newspaper turns off the commenting option to control the information that gets to the people to protect theses local cronies. I for one would not be surprised.

Its great to be a Fan, but your team is terrible and the good ole boys of the BDC and the counties need to start operating in the sunshine as the law requires. Maybe create some real jobs and note just fabricated stories due to having the press under your thumb too.

You are one lost sole FanofWeirton. Difference is the weierton port authority did't take tax dollars, and rumor is they arent shut down. If your bdc is so good, why are they not transparent with ther economic dev. money. They got the poor grade? Why dont they hold public meetings? Why dont the good people of weirton get to see where their money goes?

Hard to believe Daily Times allows these types of comments. BDC and City of Weirton are audited regularly by the State and are actually doing something positive for our area unlike the Weirton Port Authority which was bunch of scam artists who move from town to town, leaving lawsuits and unpaid bills. Fortunately the State shut them down. Kudos to those of you who are actually doing something positive for your community whatever it is instead of taking cheap shots from behind a keyboard.

They have their Williams country club buffet lunches & diners, while the citizens lose their pensions, jobs, homes. They do this in total secrecy, spending tax payer funds, clearly against WV Sunshine laws, blocking privately funded projects. Until these secret unethical activities stops, there will be no REAL jobs in the region. Elections are coming. Ask the politicians why they hide their activities? Put new people in office that have the integrity to do their work in public view, as the law requi
