Antonio Meucci Lodge welcomes new members
Members of the Antonio Meucci Lodge No. 2506 of the Sons of Italy met on Sept. 9 at Undo's in the Weirton Holiday Inn.
President Gino Guglielmo opened the meeting with a welcome to new members Jo Ann Magnone, Carmella Pulice, Rita Orler and Anthony Guglielmo.
The menu consisted of spare ribs, rigatoni, green beans, house salad and assorted desserts.
Minutes were read by Carol Calenti, standing in for secretary Diane Pastoric. Linda Pfabe, financial secretary, gave her report. Treasurer Carol Valenti gave a detailed report which will be filed for audit.
Regina Truax, sunshine chair, sent get-well cards to Bill Straight and Laura Settepanella. A sympathy card was sent to Carl Truax for the death of his sister.
Birthday greetings were sung to Mary Arlia, Daniel Guida, Carol Irvine, Victor Rossi and Trent Ciarrocchi. "Happy Anniversary" was sung to Victor and Mary Lou Rossi, 45 years.
Truax reported on upcoming tours: Oct. 8, A Musical Tribute to the Songs of Tony Bennett, "I?Left My Heart," Station Dinner Theater, show and transportation, $58 for the noon show; Nov. 3, The Meadows Race Track and Casino, $10 playing time and transportation, $25, also stopping at the new Tanger Outlets; Nov. 26, Oglebay "Festival of Lights" package, includes dinner at Wilson Lodge, viewing lights and transportation, $46; and Dec. 12, "Doo Wop," Mellon Arena, show and transportation, $60.
