Lady Barons fall to Penn State Altoona

STEUBENVILLE - The host Franciscan University of Steubenville women's soccer team dropped a 3-0 decision to undefeated Penn State Altoona on Friday. FUS goalie Nikki Traylor totaled 11 saves.

"We played a team that was undefeated and we held them off from scoring until the very end so our defense really came together," said Lady Barons captain Erin Fitzpatrick.

"We really united as a team and we played really hard. Even though we lost, I think it was one of our best games so far."

FUS (5-6-1, 2-3) hosts conference opponent Penn State Behrend at 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
