June 7, 2009
Weirton Daily Times

To the Editor,

We wish to extend our gratitude to all that made the 5th annual Weirton United Way Fashion Show an enormous success. This was the charity's first special event for the 2009 Campaign.

Special thanks to Kristin Bowman Cross, who has volunteered as the Fashion Show Chairman for the past four years. Kristin also volunteers at all our events throughout the year. She truly exemplifies the charity's catchphrase "People Helping People is What Matter" in reaching out to help those in need. Kristin also serves as this years 2009 Campaign Vice Chairman.

Special thanks to the following volunteers: Debbie Caine, Allison Courtney, Donna Donohue, Angela Goettel, Angela Kocher, Linda Stear and Domenica Westlake.

Special thanks to the beautiful models who volunteered their time: Lisa Cutright, Rebecca Fuscardo, Marcy Grishkevich, Caroline Magnone, Aggie Monezis, Lisa Simon, Linda Spencer and Colleen Casey Shaw and the talented construction crew of Williams Country Clubs, Dan Hauk who constructed a new runway for our models to show their fashions and bling from Anna-Kays Unique Fashions, Doreen Kay Layman, & Peggy Ann Zende owners and model assistant Donna Kay Bohach. Kudos to Thom Boehm and his staff at Williams Country Club for the food and their assistance whenever it was needed from initial planning beginning in February to the show date.
