Casey Sisters dance for senior organization

POSTED: June 23, 2009

Members of the Four Seasons Senior Citizens Organization held its monthly meeting on June 17 at the Serbian American Cultural Center.

President Vincent Oliver presided. Mary Rose Spano, chaplain, gave the invocation and led the prayer before the meal. Members recited the Pledge of Allegiance and sang "God Bless America."

Oliver welcomed John Geary and Cathy Zeiler, guests of Carolyn Shaffer, and new member Martha Highley. He also welcomed back Nick Iannetti.

After dinner, members of the Casey Sisters Dance Academy presented a variety of dance routines. Members enjoyed presentations by the K-Cee Tap group, the award winning K-Cee Jazz dancers and a patriotic finale performed by all.

The secretary read the minutes of the last meeting, which were approved as read.

In the treasurer's absence, Josie Cekinovich gave the report, which was approved and filed for audit.

Membership Ruth Ladomersky reported a total of 210 members. She noted that there are still openings for new members.

Reservation chairman Josie Cekinovich announced a total of 117 dinner reservations plus one add on. She previewed the menu for the July 15 meeting.
