Motorcycle run a success
To the Editor,
The intent of this letter is to convey to the many caring people and business concerns in Weirton and neighboring communities our sincere gratitude for their tremendous support of the 2009 Motorcycle Ride of the Greater Weirton Senior Citizens Center.
Your generous assistance of our fourth ride will enable our Senior Citizens Center to pay the necessary operating expenses in the coming year.
We praise the bikers for their participation.
In addition to the many individuals and business concerns that donated either money or merchandise, or both, our senior center also extends sincere appreciation to "The Weirton Daily Times" for exceptional event coverage, enhancing our success.
Once again, a donor that wants to stay anonymous along with First Choice of America Credit Union, Hancock County Savings Bank, Merco Marine, Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack and Resort, Neidengard's Harley Davidson, and Florence Orban made substantial cash gifts in support of the Weirton Seniors.
The Laurels of Steubenville and Wyngate donated an outstanding dinner for the participants while the beverages were donated by Iron City Beer of Pittsburgh, Wine & Beverage Merchants of WV, Waldorf Distributors and the Senior Center's Board of Directors.
