ADAMS, Joseph “Joe” Allen, 76, of Weirton, W.Va., formerly of St. Marys, passed away on June 28, 2009, at Kindred Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. He was born April 3, 1933, in Bens Run, Pleasant Co., W.Va., a son of the late Orie Sr., and Fanny Mott Adams. He was retired from Weirton Steel after 47 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Nerissa Adalene Elder Adams, one daughter, Kristy Jo Orsburn and her husband, Robert, of Bellaire, Md., granddaughter Lily Ann Orsburn of Bellaire, Md., one brother-in-law, who Joseph raised from the age of five months, Roger Elder and his wife, Susan of Greenwood, W.Va., and one sister-in-law Judy Carmack and her husband Jeff, of Tracy, Calif. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one infant daughter Tammy Jo Adams, two brothers, Gerald “Gerry” Adams, Orie Adams Jr., and one sister Iola Brammer. Private graveside services were held at the convenience of the family. Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, is assisting the family.
