Crossing the lineJuly 19, 2009To the Editor, Rob Denham, you have crossed the line! For some time now I have read the drivel that you pass off as commentary. To suggest that liberal Democrats are anti-American because they disagree with you is one level below where you have tread previously. It is painfully obvious that you get your talking points from Rush, Glenn Beck, O'Reilly and Sean Hannity. Sharon G. takes you to school almost every week but you fail to even realize it. Taking your talking points from someone that calls the President a socialist and then a Nazi is patently ridiculous. The two are at opposite ends of the political spectrum even when you look at their associated political beliefs. Example: Socialism is an economic system and Democracy is a political system most often associated with capitalism, an economic system. All of this is lost on a person that regurgitates thoughts from a person that has blamed Franklin Roosevelt for the Great Depression. Especially since Roosevelt was elected in 1933 and the Depression began in 1929, nearly four full years after it began. This is an example of the stupidity and hypocrisy and lying that you seem to hold in such high regard. I would in most cases, suggest that you turn off Fox News in favor of actual news and commentary that you would find on CNN and MSNBC but I sincerely doubt that thoughtfully written factual accurate commentary would be comprehended by someone of your limited intellectual abilities. Example: Sarah Palin, Dan Quale, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity. By the way, Mancow is often completely wrong on many issues, at least had the courage and integrity to be water boarded. Hannity said that he would consent to this for charity and then declined like the coward that he is. Thank you for the opportunity to discuss free speech. Bob Atkinson Weirton, W.Va. |
