Thomas Bennett
BENNETT, Thomas "T.B.", 69, went home to be with our Lord on Tuesday, September 29, 2009 surrounded by family and friends.
Thomas was born on December 28, 1939 in Camilla, Georgia to Jonas and Doreatha "MaMa D" Bennett.
He was educated in the Steubenville school district and graduated in 1957.
Thomas was baptized in Oklahoma City, Okla., and was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Dr. J.A. Reed, Jr. is the pastor.
He was a member of Masonic Lodge R.T. Jackson 48, F&AM of the Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Oklahoma. He obtained the esteemed 33rd Degree.
Thomas retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving over 23 years. He served honorably and received three Bronze Stars along with numerous distinguished meritorious service awards and citations.
He then served his country by working in civil service for another 27 years for a total of over 50 years of service to his country.
He is preceded in death by his father, Jonas Bennett.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Doreatha Bennett, his two sons: Gregory (Bernadette) Bennett of Steubenville, Ohio; Kelly (Holly) Bennett of Columbus, Ohio; one sister, Annie Lee Vinson of Steubenville, Ohio; two brothers, John "Nick" (Mary) Barnes of Steubenville, Ohio and Charles (Rita Alvis) Brooks of Steubenville, Ohio; six grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and his very special companion, Foncetta Johnson.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, October 5 at Williams Gregory & Martin Funeral Service, 411 N. 7th St., Steubenville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at the Second Baptist Church, 717 Adams St. with Rev. Calvin McLoyd, Jr. Pastor.
Burial in Union Cemetery.
Mamie Allen
ALLEN, Mamie L., 85, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009, in the Valley Hospice Care Center, Steubenville, Ohio.
She was born January 4, 1924 in Mingo Junction, a daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Cascioli Paulette.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Allen, five brothers; John, Lawrence, Carmen, Philip and Anthony Paulette, and two sisters; Rose Molinaro and an infant sister Mamie.
She was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, Mingo Junction and the Mingo Senior Citizens Club.
Mamie is survived by a sister, Mary L. Minch, of Mingo Junction, and more than 60 nieces and nephews, whom she called her "Gems and Jewels."
Friends will be received 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Wheeler Funeral Home, Mingo Junction where a vigil service will be held at 8:45 p.m.
On Tuesday, friends will be received at the St. Agnes Church, Mingo Junction, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral liturgy with Mass at 10 a.m. with Fr. James Dunfee and Fr. Jack McCoy co-celebrating Mass.
Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery, Mingo Junction.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Agnes Church, the Mingo Junction Fire Department or St. Jude Childrens Hospital.

Terrance Cox
COX, Terrance (Terry) Allen, Sr., 69, of Beech Bottom, W.Va., reluctantly left his family to be with his savior, the Lord, on Friday, October 2, 2009.
Terry was a friend and mentor to many. He loved to share stories. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing.
He was born on August 7, 1940 in Wheeling, W.Va., the beloved and only son of June Barr Cox, of Beech Bottom, and the late Roscoe Cox. He was a good son.
Terry was the cherished husband of Linda (Murphy) Cox for 42 years. They were married January 7, 1967 at St. Mary's Church in St. Clairsville, Ohio. Their love is eternal.
Terry was a committed father of four children: Michelle, of Cheswick, Pa., Sherri, of Wheeling, W.Va., Terrance (Terry) Jr. and his wife Nicole, of Moon Township, Pa., and Matthew of Wheeling, W.Va. He deeply loved his children.
Terry worked for 24 years at Clevite Corporation in Lansing, Ohio. He was retired from Stone Container in Wellsburg, W.Va. He was always a hard worker.
Terry will be remembered as a devoted son, loving husband, proud father and encouraging friend.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff of the sixth floor oncology unit at Wheeling Hospital along with Dr. Przybysz and Dr. Pollock and their entire office staff for their attentive and compassionate care.
We would also like to thank the overwhelming number of people who have consistently and faithfully prayed for and supported us during this difficult season in our lives. God is merciful.
An open memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, October 5 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, Rt. 2, in Beech Bottom, W.Va. A time of visitation with the family will immediately follow in the church hall.
A private burial service will be held at the convenience of the family under the direction of Reasner Funeral Home, 1515 Charles St., Wellsburg, W.Va.

Milton Hayman
HAYMAN, Milton A., 82, of Steubenville, died Friday October 2, 2009 at Valley Hospice North.
He was born December 18, 1926 in Cleveland, Ohio. He is the son of the late Joseph and Gertrude Segal Hayman. Milton is also preceded in death by his son Jeff Hayman. Surviving are his wife Sylvia "Sippy" Rubins Hayman, whom he married June 16, 1951, daughter Sherri R. Hayman, of Steubenville, brother Richard Hayman of Salinas, Calif., two grandchildren; Scott and Michelle Hayman, both of Columbus,Ohio.
Milton was an attorney in Steubenville for many years. He was Jewish by faith, an Army WWII veteran, a graduate of the Ohio State University, a member of the Ohio State Alumni Assoc., The Ohio State Advocates, member and past president of the Jefferson County Ohio State Alumni Assoc., member of the Jefferson Co. Bar Assoc., Ohio Bar Assoc. and the American Bar Assoc., was past president of the Family Service Assoc., was a founding member of the Steubenville Players and a member of the F&AM Lodge 691, the Osiris Shrine and a 32nd Degree Mason.
Calling hours are 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. Steubenville, where services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Rabbi Aaron Bisno.
Also, visitors will be received Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evening as the family sits Shiva in their home.
Burial will be private.
Masonic services are at 3 p.m. Sunday.
