RICHMOND - Lacey Jae Cope and Joseph Michael Wood were united in marriage at 2 p.m. Oct. 17 at St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Cleveland.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Richard and Tammy Cope of Richmond. She wore a white strapless gown and carried a bouquet of red roses.
The groom is the son of Richard and Connie Wood of Westlake.

Amber Prekler of Streetsboro served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids included Ashley Weaver of Follansbee; Stephanie Tewell, cousin of the bride, of Martinsburg, W.Va.; Tracy Burt of Ravenna; Annie Gall, sister of the groom, of Lakewood; Sarah Hill of Cleveland; and Randi Valuska of Ravenna.
Christopher Wood, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Potts of Napoleon; Andrew Whalen of Raleigh, N.C.; Donnald Heckelmoser of Lakewood; Sean Kufel of Marietta; and Steve Gall, brother-in-law of the groom, of Lakewood. Nick Cope, brother of the bride, of Valdosta, Ga., was currently serving in Iraq and was unable to serve as groomsman.
Following a reception at Wagner's Country Inn in Westlake, the newlyweds honeymooned at Walt Disney World.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Edison High School, a 2006 graduate of Kent State University and a 2008 graduate with a master's degree from Case Western Reserve University's Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences. She is an early childhood mental health therapist and a special needs child care consultant with Applewood Centers in Cleveland.
The groom is a 1999 graduate of North Olmstead High School and a 2003 graduate of Marietta College. He is the corporate hiring and training manager for Marc Glassman Inc. in Cleveland.
The couple reside in North Ridgeville.
