WEIRTON - Local residents will have the chance for another community event as the Salvation Army prepares for a fall festival.
Captain Goldie Long stated the Salvation Army will once again be hosting a Fall Festival on Nov. 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the organization's home grounds located at 800 Cove Road. She said the event was "well received" last year and they wanted to bring some fall fun to the community once again.
During the Salvation Army's Fall Festival, there will be face painting, balloon animals, games, goodies and more. Long said each of the activities is available for a minimum price.
"You can earn "Pumpkin Bucks" by coming to Sunday School and youth meetings, or you can bring your own nickels and dimes to spend," she said.
Long said there will be several booths available and the organization is still looking for volunteers to man those booths.
