Ed Kruger, right, general manager of the EZtoUse.com, accepted a plaque of appreciation from Michael O’Brien, co-chairman of the Wellsburg Applefest, in recognition of the directory publisher’s sponsorship of a new sign for the Grimes Golden Apple Roadside Park on state Route 27. The Wellsburg Applefest Committee has made restoring the park a pet project. O’Brien also thanked Kruger, a Wellsburg native, for his past support of the Applefest.
