BAVINGTON, Pa. - A body found by two hunters in the State Game Lands off Bavington Road, in Smith Township, Nov. 8, 2008, recently has been identified as Steven Inskipt, 39, of Grace Lane, McDonald, according to the Washington County Coroner's Office.
Smith Township Police Chief Bernie LaRue said, at the time the body was located, it was suspected it might be Inskipt, because he had been reported missing to the North Fayette Township Police Department in March 2008 and because he had a history of attempted suicides.
The body was identified through DNA analysis and limited dental analysis, according to Washington County Coroner S. Timothy Warco.
The cause of death was ruled suicide by hanging, according to the coroner's office.
