STEUBENVILLE - Steubenville native Ellen Madama and Joel Stevenson were united in marriage Sept. 17, 2010, at Shadyside Presbyterian Church where the Rev. Dr. Craig Barnes officiated for the 4:30 p.m. ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Karen Madama of Steubenville and Dennis Madama of Wheeling. He is the son of David and Cheryl Stevenson of New Bern, N.C., formerly of Pittsburgh.
Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a chiffon and soft lace A-line silhouette gown accented with pearls and crystals with a cathedral length train. She carried a bouquet of lilies and pink and white roses.
Jenna Davis, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Amanda Greenberg, Adrienne Joyce and Kristen Stantz were bridesmaids.
Matthew Stevenson, brother of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Michael Angelone, Justin Bieranowski and Michael Kengor.
A reception was held at the Frick Art & Historical Center in Pittsburgh. The couple honeymooned in the Fiji Islands.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Steubenville High School who earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Ohio State University. She is a merchandise planner for Dick's Sporting Goods' corporate headquarters in Pittsburgh.
The groom graduated in 2000 from Kiski Area High School and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He is planning manager for American Eagle Outfitter at its corporate headquarters.
The couple are making their home in Pittsburgh.
