The Weir High School Class of 1976 celebrated its 35th reunion July 29-80 with a “Cruise on the Spirit of ‘76,” with an ice breaker held July 29 at the Sports Court Lounge and dinner-dance held July 30 at the Serbian Picnic Grounds. A cruise theme was carried throughout the picnic grounds, where guests, wearing personalized sailor hats, boarded by walking over a gang plank designed by Sam Stoneking. Steve Gaudreau was master of ceremonies; Skip Murray was keynote speaker; Disc Jockey Larry Spencer provided music; and Susan Allen Marsh presented the memorial for the 25 classmates who have passed. Frank Palcic and Earle Beatty were presented a certificate for traveling the farthest; Steve Zatezalo for least distance; Pamela Anderson Head for having the most grandchildren; Larry Bails for being 76th classmate to join the Facebook page; and Jeff Daughtery for being the 35th reservation. Those attending received a CD of top 25 songs 1972-1976 from Mike Cangley.
