Hikers to help W.Va. child advocacy centers

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Hikes will be held across West Virginia next month to raise money for child advocacy centers.

The wvCANclimb event is scheduled for Sept. 6.

The West Virginia Child Advocacy Network says more than 10 cities and towns will participate. The goal is to raise $50,000.

Participants can take one of nine guided hikes, or hike on their own.
