Linda Harris named business editor

October 2, 2011
Weirton Daily Times

STEUBENVILLE - Linda Harris has been named business editor of the Herald-Star and The Weirton Daily Times.

The newsroom veteran returns to the Herald-Star and Daily Times, where she previously covered municipal government and business. She also served as managing editor of the Daily Times and as a reporter and Steubenville bureau chief for The Intelligencer in Wheeling.

"Linda brings a wealth of knowledge and experience about the Tri-State Area's business community to our publications," said Ross Gallabrese, executive editor of the Herald-Star and Daily Times.

Harris is a graduate of Penn State University and has most recently been a regular contributor to the State Journal, a business weekly based in Charleson, and the former WVInc. business magazine.

She lives in Weirton with her husband, Marc.

Harris replaces longtime Business Editor Paul Giannamore, who has left the newspapers to pursue other interests.
