MINGO JUNCTION - John and Thelma Buchmelter of Mingo Junction celebrated their 45th anniversary on Saturday.
They were married Oct. 22, 1966, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Winchester, Va., with the Rev. Robert Ruth officiating.
She is the daughter of the late Eino and Pauline Paavola.

He is the son of John and Mary Buchmelter and is retired from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel as an instrument repairman after 44 years.
They have three children: John of Danbury, Conn., Ben of Slovan, Pa., and Mary Kucynski of Maineville, Ohio.
They are members of St. Agnes Catholic Church.
They will celebrate their anniversary on Thanksgiving.
