Members of Brooke High School’s chapters of Future Business Leaders of America and Interact and the auto technology class teamed to raise $800 for the Brooke County Veterans Memorial Park Foundation through the sale of red, white and blue bracelets and a hat day in which students paid $1 to wear hats, normally a violation of the dress code. Presenting the donation to foundation member Charles “Poke” Beall at the school’s Veterans Day assembly were, from left, Jake Chernik and Nathan Himmelrick of the auto tech class; Wes Rine, Interact president; and Robert Browning, FBLA president. -- Warren Scott
