U.S. Congressman David McKinley will be visiting the area Monday, meeting with residents to discuss job growth and other issues.
McKinley, R-Wheeling, will take part in several events throughout the day, meeting with local job creators, high school students, senior citizens and constituents to talk about work in Congress to create a competitive and pro-job growth environment.
Among the stops is a town hall meeting from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Station Grille in Wellsburg, 1200 Commerce St.
The town hall will be open to the public.
Other stops by McKinley during the day include a roundtable discussion at the Chester City Building, 600 Indiana Ave., with local small business owners with the intention to allow an opportunity for them to share their thoughts on the state's business climate, as well as ideas for the future.
The roundtable will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
McKinley then will visit Weir High School from 1:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. where he will meet with civics students.
A visit also is planned from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Hancock County Senior Center, at 647 Gas Valley Road, where McKinley will host a meet and greet with local senior citizens to discuss their thoughts and concerns on how he can better represent them in Washington, D.C.
