Lori Savier, a member of a group of mountain climbers who scaled the world’s highest peaks while raising awareness of Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease, was a special guest speaker at the Brooke County Public Library, which also showed a documentary about the group, “10 Mountains 10 Years.” Savier trekked and climbed Mount Washington and Mount Kilimanjaro with the group and Mount Hood in Oregon, Mount Shasta in Califorinia and Island Peak and Kala Pathar in Nepal, among others, on her own. -- Contributed
