TORONTO - Toronto American Legion Post 86 will hold tryouts at 6 p.m. Friday at the Knight Baseball Complex. All players from out of the area need proper release forms in order to tryout.

Brooke to hold soccer meeting
WELLSBURG - A mandatory meeting for all girls interested in playing soccer at Brooke High School will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Cafeteria A at the high school. It is mandatory that one parent attend with the player.
Panthers to hold football meeting
RAYLAND - A mandatory meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the Buckeye Local High School auditorium for all players (grades 9-12 next year) interested in playing football. The meeting will be held by the Buckeye Local coaching staff and parents' club for the players and their parents and players. The agenda will include meeting the new coaching staff and parents' club officers.

Indian Creek hoops camp set
WINTERSVILLE - Indian Creek High School will be holding a basketball camp from June 4-8 for boys and girls entering grades 4-8. Camp forms may be picked up at any Indian Creek school or by contacting coach Joe Dunlevy at the high school.
Oak Glen football to hold meeting
NEW CUMBERLAND - There will be an informational meeting for all 2012 Oak Glen football players and their parents at 7 p.m. today at the Oak Glen High School cafeteria.
Seacats to hold registration
STRATTON - The Stratton Seacats swim team will hold registration from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the Stratton Indoor Pool. The cost is $20 for the first child per family and $10 for each additional child/family member.
All children must pass a swim test the night of registration. Please bring a swim suit with you to the pool. Participants do not need to be a resident of Stratton. Children ages 5-18 are welcome to participate.

Academy team starts 1-1
WINTERSVILLE - The U10 Academy team began the season 1-1 losing to the JKYSC Gators 5-4 and defeating the JKYSC Blue Devils 2-0. Scoring for the Spartans were A.J. Neely, Mitchell Williams and McKenna Carter. Williams and Bobby Rice combined for 29 saves in goal.
