MAZIK, Thomas Donald, 78, of Bellaire, Ohio, died Sunday, June 17, 2012.
He was born Jan. 20, 1934, in Mingo Junction, Ohio, a son of the late George and Agnes (Raha) Mazik.
He was a member of The Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Neffs, Ohio, and a member of the Osiris Shrine, Wheeling, W.Va.
He retired as a front end loader for Lafarge Construction (Standard Slag), and was a U.S. Army Veteran.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, George Mazik.
He is survived by his loving wife, Joan (Kale) Mazik; two children, Michael (Dawn Bowers) Mazik of Wheeling, W.Va., Kristen (Robert) Yoho of Holloway, Ohio; two brothers, Jerry (Jeanne) Mazik, Ken (Dorothy) Mazik; and his sister-in-law, Faith Mazik, all of Mingo Junction, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Patrick Mazik, Donald Ewing, Michael Bass, Olivia Lombardi, Charlie Brost, John Nice Jr., Emily Mazik; and two great-granddaughters, Sapphire and Jema Ewing.
Family and friends will be received Tuesday June 19, 2012, at the Bauknecht- Altmeyer Funeral Home and Crematory, 441 37th St., Bellaire, Ohio, from 4-7 p.m. and Wednesday June 20 from 10 a.m. until the time of Funeral Mass at noon in St. John's Catholic Church with Father Daniel Heusel as celebrant.
A vigil service will be held at the funeral home 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
