WEIRTON - Moving On held its June 10 luncheon and meeting at Undo's with President Norma Boni welcoming members, new member Bonnie James and guest Barbara Ashlee.
The meeting was opened with the singing of "God Bless America" and the Pledge of Allegiance. Jack Davis gave the blessing, and Christine Brown gave the friendship reading. June birthdays were observed.
The Thermes Women, including Barbara Thermes, Lesa Costlow-Thermes and Leslie Thermes, entertained with family songs and songs in honor of fathers and mothers, and the tables were decorated with candles and flowers. Janet Saner, assisted by Pat Prosperi, provided centerpieces.
Lucretia "Toots" Ross gave the secretary's report, and Boni said Margaret Chapman will provide the financial report at the July meeting.
David Kramarich and Madeline Michael conducted the 50/50 drawing, which was won by Eleanor Cooper. John Fields and Fred Vogt won Undo's gift certificates. Jack Davis won a Ville gift card; Marcia Bishop won beauty supplies; and Peg Sweeney won a bouquet. Ruth Jackson won a raffle for an Expert Tire oil change and tire rotation.
The next meeting will be held July 8 at Undo's. The meal costs $11. Yearly dues are $10.
