WEIRTON - Post 10 came back from a six-inning loss to score five times in the top of the seventh inning to move its mark to 3-1 after Friday's action in the Beast of the East Tournament.
Weirton dropped a 15-1 decision to Steel City Select and returned for a 9-5 victory over the Central Ohio Clippers at Bowman Field.
Post 10 takes on the Pottstown Spartans at 8 a.m. and the HCYP Raiders at 1 p.m. today on the same field.
Weirton broke open 4-3 score in Game 2 when six of the first seven batters reached base.
Steve Barr singled and reached second on an error. Chris Perna walked and, one out later on a sacrifice fly, Tre Smith walked and Cody Harmon, Matt Cessna and Jordan Johnson laced singles for the five runs.
Post 10 trailed 2-1 when it plated three runs in the fourth as Smith singled and, one out later on a sacrifice fly, Cessna and Johnson singled and Ruben Pine reached on an error.
In the Game 1 loss, Weirton scored in the first after Barr doubled and Perna singled. Perna singled in the third and Russell in the fourth and that was it for Post 10.
