What's the significance?

July 1, 2012
Weirton Daily Times

To the Editor,

Really? What extremist, right-wing writers find significant is that there were traces of marijuana found in Trayvon Martin's system. That Martin weighed an imposing 160 pounds. This is what you consider important?

In the last month's coverage of the Martin murder case, we have found that Zimmerman and his wife lied in his bond hearing about how much money he had in order to favorably affect the amount of bail he would have to pay. He has been remanded to jail for perjury by an incensed judge.

Seriously, Zimmerman perjured himself in a court of law over the amount of money he had available to pay his bond and yet what you find germane is Martin's weight and traces of marijuana in his system. Martin was also found in possession of Skittles and iced tea. Where is the outrage?

Why on earth would anyone believe that if he would lie to a judge about the amount of money he had in the bank, but not the stalking and murder of a teenage boy? Credible, plausible? No.
