PITTSBURGH - Steubenville Post 33 moved its record to 19-13 with a split of a doubleheader Saturday on the road against Plum.
Post 33 earned the Game 1 win behind the complete-game performance of Josh Malesky on the mound and a single and home run from catcher Kai McClurg for a 6-2 victory.
Malesky fanned three and walked two.
Plum came back in the second game and scored six runs in the fifth and sixth innings for a 7-2 win.
Alex Young tripled for an RBI and Brenton Colabella and Justin Corsi each added a double and an RBI. Bryan Pierro doubled and singled and JoJo Pierro singled twice.
Corsi delivered two doubles and an RBI in the second game, while Josh Merrriman contributed a single and double and Colabella a single and RBI.
Post 33 hosts Wheeling at 1 p.m. today for two, visits Moundsville Monday and entertains Wayne County for a nine-inning affair on Thursday.
