Knights to host basketball camp
TORONTO - The second-annual Toronto Boys and Girls Basketball Camp for children entering grades 1-6 will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday though Saturday. The cost is $15 per person and each camper will receive a T-shirt.
The Red Knights' boys and girls basketball staffs will conduct the camp. Registration begins at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.

Irish to hold hoops camp
BELLAIRE - The annual St. John Central Basketball Camp is scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 23-26 at the high school. The camp, sponsored by DPS Penn, is $30 per person ($20 for each additional family member) and is open to all boys and girls entering grades 1-8.
Each camper will receive a T-shirt and a green basketball and are urged to bring a sack lunch. Refrigeration is available. Several camp speakers have been lined up, including West Liberty University head women's coach Lynn Ullom, Monroe Central boys' head coach Scooter Tolzda, Hall of Fame basketball official Mike Coyne, former Steubenville High and WVU star Liz Repella, now playing professionally in Europe, and former SJC all-Ohio point guard Arin Kress, who still holds the state record with 911 career assists.

Big Red boosters to host dinner
STEUBENVILLE - The 16th-annual Big Red Boosters Appreciation and Kickoff Dinner will be held at 3 p.m. July 22 at East Elementary School. The honorees will be Richard Beal, Bob Cornelius, Earl Cramblett, Bob Fellows, Hal Paul, Tim McCoy and Chuck Watt.

Hervey records an ace
HOPEDALE - Tom Hervey recorded a hole-in-one at Castle Shannon Golf Course. The Hopedale resident used a 7-iron on the 135-yard par 3 ninth hole. The witness was Shawn Hervey.
