MARINO, Mary C. "Tat", 89, died in the loving arms of her family at home, Saturday, June 30, 2012, in Columbus.
She was born December 13, 1922, in Steubenville.
Mary was a devoted daughter and a dearly loved sister. She was a member of the former St. Anthony Catholic Church, CCHS graduating class of 1941, the Miraculous Medal Sodality, the CWC and was inseparable from her loved "Pompa Sisters", Mary worked as a window dresser at McCrory's, a bookkeeper at Schiappa Coal Co. and was an excellent seamstress.
Upon her marriage to John, the love of her life, Mary became a devoted wife and the most loving mother to her four children. She was later cherished by her daughters-in-law, son- in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Giannina (Renzetti) Tatonetti, father Erminio Tatonetti, stepmother Annina (Franciotti) Archangel Tatonetti; and stepbrothers, Anthony and Victor Archangel.
Mary will be deeply missed by John, her husband of 61 years; children, Janet Seehafer (Russ), John (Brenda Grafeman) (former wife Peggy), Jim (Carol) and Joe (Susy); nine grandchildren; stepbrother, Carmen "Merks", nieces, nephews, extended family and countless friends.
Mary's legacy will always be most gratefully remembered by her family, her friends and her neighborhood as one where the door was always open and a delicious plate of homemade pasta, ravioli, meatballs, cutlets or bowl of Italian wedding soup was never far from hand.
Mosti Funeral Home in Steubenville is caring for the family. Visitation for Mary will be held on Friday, July 6 at 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Church on Saturday, July 7 at 11:30 a.m. followed by her burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
