To the Editor,
We missed the Weirton fireworks that were highly anticipated. Parking was the problem.
I asked a police officer if one particular space was allowed and he refused to answer he just glared at me.
The steel mill had a perfect area to park cars and a security officer was swearing and moved everyone even though the area was not cordoned off or marked in any manner.
This is definitely not the city of brotherly love. A couple of school buses could be used with a slight monetary fee per rider. Wal-Mart or Kmart might provide the area for parking. The retailer might sell cold drinks next to the pick up site or better give everyone who boards the bus a one dollar voucher that can only be used in their store.
No one can go in either store and only spend one dollar; it is a win win scenario.
Then more citizens could enjoy the holiday together and possibly meet their neighbor.
