Haves and have nots

July 8, 2012
Weirton Daily Times

To the Editor,

Obama Care, "Naw" health care for everyone, has been a long time coming; 100 years too late.

The health care system is overwhelmingly fine for the haves and it's s shame its come down to the haves and have nots.

When one doesn't have health care through no fault of their own, like a child that just turned 18, or one with pre-existing conditions, they can't manage their health with pre-emptive check ups. Their condition worsens until a person becomes destitute winding up in the emergency room causing costs to soar for everyone.

Here's what the Republicans, conservatives, tea parties and gloaters and haves want you to believe in their opinion of course.

I have health care. You 30 million without it, too bad.

The haves say health care will become rationed like they don't understand it's already rationed with the haves getting walk-in treatment and the have nots get waiting in emergency rooms for treatment.

What is it the haves don't understand about the fact when one reports to the emergency room, by law they have to be treated, legal or illegal, healthcare plan of not, driving up the costs because the haves are paying for it whether its Obama care or the system as it stands?

The haves are right. We have the best system. If you're a have not with one condition, check with any health provider to see if you can afford it. I doubt it.
