COX, Ida Mae, 90, of Steubenville, Ohio died Friday morning in Trinity West after a short illness. She was born in Bergholz, Ohio on Aug. 7, 1921 the daughter of the late James Moore and Mary Almina Maple Moore Taylor. Ida was also preceded in death by four brothers, Fred, Paul, James, Lewis Moore. Ida was a graduate of Bergholz High school class of 1939.
Ida worked as sales associate for J.C.Penney Co. in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio for 13 years. She retired in 1984.
She is survived by three daughters, Marsha (Ron) Lucas of Steubenville, Tamera (Tom Newman) Gower of Colerain, Ohio and Karen (Rick) Saylor of Wintersville and beloved friend Janet Koch; also two brothers, Robert Moore and George Moore; also four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Blackburn Funeral Home at Second and Monroe Streets in Bergholz, Ohio on Monday July 9, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday July 10, 2012. Pastor David Miller will officiate and burial will follow at the Bergholz Cemetery.
