HORNER, Alfred F. "Al," 82, of Steubenville, OH, died Thursday, July 5, 2012 at Acuity Hospital. He was born in Steubenville on Nov. 13, 1929, a son of the late Cecil and Mae Hibbits Horner.
Al served in the Marine Corp during the Korean War and was retired from the Steubenville Fire Dept. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores J. "Dode" Call Horner; daughter, Joy Ann Masterlasco and sister, Judy Keenan.
Al is survived by his daughter Deb (Max) Pittner of Bloomingdale, OH; his son Kenny (Carlene) Horner of Steubenville; his sister Catherine Thoburn of Wintersville; grandson Jesse Fisher. Friends may call at Dunlope-Shorac Funeral Home, 215 Fernwood Rd., Wintersville, OH on Monday 5-7 p.m. Burial services will be private.
