An informal tug of war competition, first, was among children's games coordinated by the owner and staff of Bre's Tropical Illusions during the Follansbee Community Days Kickoff at Follansbee Park Sunday. Second, Deja Vu played classic rock and roll. Through the collaboration of the Follansbee Community Days Committee, city officials and crews and many area businesses, the event included free hot dogs, drinks, snow cones, swimming at the city pool, games for children and music by Deja Vu, Rich Treglia, who presented a tribute to Dean Martin; and The Lite Touch; and the first Follansbee Community Days Derby for soapbox-style cars on Mark Avenue. The Follansbee Community Days festival will be held Friday through Saturday at the park's parking lot.
