Hound's Haven clinic

deadline is tomorrow

TILTONSVILLE- The deadline to register for the Hound's Haven's Rascal Unit clinic for spaying and neutering pets is Saturday. Then pet owners can take advantage of low prices offered for pet medical services on Aug. 4 and 5 in Jefferson County.

The mobile veterinary clinic will be at the Warren Township Municipal Building in Tiltonsville. Hound's Haven is offering additional discounts due to a special spay/neuter grant funding for the event.

Those qualifying for discounts include low-income residents, senior citizens or anyone taking in a stray cat or dog. Prices are $27 for a cat neuter and $32 for a spay. Dog prices start at $27,including a rabies shot. Regular pricing for other pet owners is charged at a rate that significantly under regular medical rates.

Pre-registration and pre-pay, cash or money order, must be done by Saturday. Application forms are available at Landmark stores in Bloomingdale, Cadiz or Dillonvale or call (740) 827-0649.

Those registering will receive an appointment time a week before the clinic. There will be a $5 clinic fee and a $7 rabies vaccination is required if the pet has not already received one.

Brunch Bonanza held at East Springfield

EAST SPRINGFIELD - A Breakfast Brunch Bonanza will be held in the new East Springfield Community Recreation and Service Center, next to the firehouse, starting at 8 a.m. Saturday.
