Nobleman joins book festival

CHARLESTON - Marc Tyler Nobleman, "Bill the Boy Wonder: The Secret Co-Creator of Batman" and "Boys of Steel: The Creators of Superman" author, will speak about his work and sign books at 2 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Charleston Civic Center during the West Virginia Book Festival.

He joins urban fantasy author Charlaine Harris of "True Blood" fame, young adult author Tamora Pierce and David Corbin, Robert Byrd historian and author for the festival, which is being held Oct. 13-14.

Several authors will attend, participating in signings, readings, workshops and lectures. There will be a special section and activities for children. Admission is free.

The event is presented by The Library Foundation of Kanawha County Inc., Kanawha County Public Library, West Virginia Humanities Council, Charleston Gazette and Charleston Daily Mail. It is sponsored by The Martha Gaines and Russell Wehrle Memorial Foundation, Pam Tarr and Gary Hart, Friends of the Library Foundation of Kanawha County and Books-A-Million.
