Mary H. Weir Library hosting

nonprofit funding workshop

WEIRTON - The Mary H. Weir Public Library will host a workshop on finding nonprofit funding from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the library located at 3442 Main St.

This webinar will provide an introduction to the online and print tools for finding funding that are available for free use at the library.

This event is free and open to the public.

Church holding pepper dinner

WEIRTON - St. Nicholas Orthodox Church will hold a stuffed pepper dinner and bake sale from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., or until sold out, Thursday at the church located at 604 Colliers Way, across from the Weirton Medical Center. The menu includes stuffed peppers, mashed potatoes, vegetables and a dessert. The cost is $7. Eat-in and carry-out are available.

Oak Glen Soccer Boosters to meet

NEW MANCHESTER - The Oak Glen Soccer Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the Oak Glen High School multi-purpose room.

Fantasy film to be shown

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Public Library will show the PG-rated film "Mirror Mirror," starring Julia Roberts, Saturday at 11 a.m.

The humorous take on a classic fairy tale involves an evil enchantress queen who schemes to marry a handsome, wealthy prince. There's only one problem - he's in love with Snow White.
