KIRKLAND, Robert "Bob" K., 60, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away Monday, July 16, 2012, in the E.R. at Trinity Medical Center West in Steubenville, Ohio.
He was born May 27, 1952, in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late, James K. and Sarah J. (Shively) Kirkland. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Kirkland; a brother, Gary Kirkland; a sister, Barb Kirkland Pettit; and a granddaughter, Hannah Kirkland.
Bob was a retired truck driver; a member of the Georges Run United Methodist Church and a social member of the Brilliant American Legion.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly (Burbage) Kirkland, whom he married on July 4, 2001; two daughters, Chrissy (James) Norris of North Carolina and Cristal Kirkland of the home; two sisters, Sandra Everhart of Charleston, SC and Linda Shock of Cleveland, Ohio; and a granddaughter, Kaylee Norris.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, on Sunday, July 22, from 2-4 and 6 p.m. until the time of his funeral services at 8 p.m., with Pastor Jimm Woods, officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home in Bob's memory to help with funeral expenses.
