TEMPLE, Mary "Joannie," 68, of Steubenville, died Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Valley Hospice.
She was born January 30, 1944 in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Caswell Miller.
Joannie was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church and was retired from the former St. Pius the X Catholic Church where she was the secretary for 28 years.

Surviving are her husband; Nelson F. Temple whom she married August 28, 1965; two sons, Bruce of Roanoke Rapids, NC and Charles of Follansbee, one daughter, Sheri (Michael) Suarez of Canton, GA.; two brothers, John (Linda) Miller of Steubenville and Charles (Becky) Miller of Columbiana; eight grandchildren; Jessica, Justin, Brooke and Seth Temple and Justin, Erika, Christian and Nolan Suarez and great-grandson, Cohen.
Joannie was an avid Steelers fan and a bowler; she enjoyed playing cards with the "Card Club" friends and ran the former St. Pius the X bingo for many years. She was past president of the Catholic Central High School Band Boosters.
Calling hours are Friday 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd. A funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Thomas Nau, celebrant. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. There will be a vigil service 7:45 p.m. Friday.
