Jennie E. Rensi

RENSI, Jennie E., formerly of Smithfield, OH (57 years) and Wintersville, OH, passed away at age 98 years in Loudon, Tennessee on June 17, 2012.

Jennie was born in Foster, PA on March 9, 1914.

Jennie is preceded in death by her parents, Luigi Palazzone and Palma (Culisti) Palazzone; husband, Marion A. Rensi; a daughter, Marlene C. (Rensi) Fairhurst; sisters, Delores (Palazzone) Vansickle, Margaret (Palazzone) Marinacci, and Mary (Palazzone) Tipton; and brothers, John Palazzone, Louis Palazzone and Arthur Palazzone.

Jennie is survived by two sons, Donald M. Rensi, Vonore, TN, and Edward G. Rensi of R.D. 1, Rayland, OH; two sisters, Angeline (Palazzone) Alloggia, Steubenville, OH, and Elizabeth (Palazzone) Duva, Atlanta, GA. Jennie is also survived by nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Jennie was a long time member of the Smithfield, Ohio Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir many years. In later years, she attended the Wintersville Methodist Church in Wintersville, OH, and the Vonore Baptist Church in Vonore, TN.

Jennie taught vacation Bible school many years, and was a former Brownie Scout leader.

Jennie was a member of the Smithfield, Ohio Sr. Women's club, past Worthy Matron of the Ohio Eastern Star, and a past Grand Noble of the Rebecca Lodge.

Jennie enjoyed sewing and was a member of the Tellico Village Quilting Guild in Loudon, TN. Jennie enjoyed music and was still playing her organ at age 97.

Jennie's family and friends will celebrate her life in a service at the Wintersville Methodist Church in Wintersville, OH on October 6, 2012 at 10:30 a.m.. Arrangements by Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville, TN.
