To the Editor,
We have had a great summer at Energy Express. It is very sad that it has come to an end. We would like to take the time to thank everyone that has donated supplies or have come read to the kids or who have helped and supported the program in any way.
We would like to start by thanking P.C.S. for donating plates for lunch, CHANGE Inc. for preparing and sending us the food, and Diane for delivering the food every day. Next we would like to thank all of our special readers. Thank you to author Connie Randolph, Diane Lucero, Carole Scheerbaum, Perry Orr, Mike Dotson, and Froggy.
We would like thank all of the businesses that donated gift cards for school supplies and to all the businesses that let us put a donation box in there. Thank you to Giant Eagle, Walmart, Sparkle, Connie's Corner, Citizens Drug Store, Valley View, First Choice America, Roma's on Route 8 and in Chester, Convenient, Chester Library, Weirton Nazarene Church, Plaza Restaurant, Immaculate Conception Church, Mid Ridge Cafe, New Cumberland RX, Sparkle, Treehouse Daycare, Tri-State Church, Prayer Hill, United Methodist, Greek Orthodox, New Cumberland Library, Gordon Brothers, and Salem Community Hospital in Salem, Ohio.
Most importantly we would like to thank Tomlinson Run Pool for letting us have our community service project there. We would like to thank the Board of Education, Oak Glen Middle School and Mrs. Greene for letting us have Energy Express at the school. We would like to thank all the custodians at the school especially Tom Smearman for all the hard work he did cleaning up the school. We would like to thank the community for donating supplies and supporting the program. We would like to thank all the volunteers for coming and helping out every day.
Thank you to The Weirton Daily Times, East Liverpool Review, Hancock County Courier, and WTOV9 for writing articles and getting the word out about the program.
To anyone we forgot we thank you for all your hard work and dedication to the program. It couldn't be done without you.
