TVERBUT, Joseph S., Sr., 99, of Steubenville, died Friday Aug. 3, 2012, at Trinity West.
He was born March 24, 1913 in Imperial, PA. He is the son of the late Stanley and Mary Mackewicz Tverbut.
Joseph is also preceded in death by his wife; Sophia Zamana Tverbut; one brother, Alexander Tverbut and two sisters, Stella Tverbut and Sophia Campbell.
Joseph was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the former St. Staniuslaus Catholic Church, the P.N.A. and retired in 1975 from the former Weirton Steel where he was a rigger.
Surviving are his son, Joseph S. (Rita) Tverbut, Jr. of Mingo Junction; one daughter, Hazel (William) Diederich of Kenly, NC; two sisters, Helen Mieczkowski of Steubenville and Stephanie Burns of Glengarden, NJ; four grandchildren and six great -grandchildren.
